Family A · The pitch

Short of players? Post your match.

You've got the pitch and the time, you're four players down. Post the match : it shows up in Discover for players in your area, and the spots fill themselves.

In 30 seconds

  1. Middle « + » tab → Post a Match.
  2. Choose the pitch, then the date and time.
  3. Type, level, maximum players, duration — and the price if the pitch costs money.
  4. « PUBLISH MATCH » : it's visible in Discover immediately.

The form, field by field

Only the pitch and the date are genuinely required. Everything else starts from a sensible default.

  1. Pitch

Search the list by name or town. Yours isn't there? Add it in three fields — see the note below.

  2. Date & time

A match posted for the same day rises to « urgent » in Discover : that's the one that fills fastest.

For a regular slot, don't repost every week : set up a group and switch on the recurring match.

  3. Type & level

Football or futsal, then the level you expect. It's the first thing other players filter on — be honest, it saves lopsided evenings.

  4. Maximum players & duration

Count yourself in if you're playing. That number feeds the gauge everyone else sees, and decides when the match flips to « full ».

  5. Price per player — optional

Leave it empty and the match shows as « Free ». Otherwise give the share per player : you settle it between yourselves, on site. Gaùcho collects nothing.

  6. « I'm playing in this match »

Ticked by default. Untick it if you're organising without playing : you keep control of the match without taking one of the spots.

Your pitch isn't in the list

Choose « Add a missing pitch » and give its name, address and town. The pitch then exists for the whole community. The database is curated by hand : adding your local cage helps everyone who plays there after you.

Once it's published

What the match does on its own, and what stays in your hands.

Automatic

  • It appears in Discover for players in the area
  • Available players get a notification
  • A match chat opens with everyone who's in
  • Reminders go out the day before and roughly 2 h before kick-off
  • The match flips to « full » as soon as the numbers are met

Down to you

  • Editing the details while the match hasn't started
  • Inviting your friends by link if you're still short
  • Picking the teams and logging the score
  • Ending the match, which opens ratings for everyone

Stuck?

Can I edit a match I've already published?

Yes, while it hasn't started. Players who are in get notified of the change. Once the match has started or been ended, the details are locked — that's what keeps the history and the ratings tied to what actually happened.

Nobody's joining my match

Three levers, in this order. Check the level you announced : « advanced » rules a lot of people out. Check the time : weekday slots after 19:00 fill best. Then use « Invite via a link » to share it straight to your friends or a group chat.

How do I cancel a match?

From the match card. Players who are in get told. Try not to cancel late : people who planned their evening around your slot take it badly, and it shows up in the ratings.

Do I have to end the match?

Yes, and it matters : ending it is what opens the ratings. Without that, nobody can rate anybody and the match doesn't move cleanly into the history.

Can I create a match just for my friends?

Yes, through a group. A group match is private by default : it doesn't appear in Discover and only members can join. You can then open spots to the public if you're short. See the Create a group guide.

Post your first match.

Two minutes of typing, and your side completes itself.
